This is a sassy pendant with an attitude: On one side, a vintage image of a pin-up girl reading a book, with the words “I read banned books,” and the words “What’s Black & White and read all over?” on the other. Measures approximately 1 inch X 1.25 inches, encased in glass, edges silvered with lead-free solder. Complimentary ball chain measures 24 inches and can be cut to desired length with ordinary scissors. Click on the thumbnail to the left for an image showing the chain. This piece is wearable art, made in a stained glass technique and is glass and copper tape that is "glued" together with liquid metal (solder). It is not made of the hardened metals like most jewelry, and therefore not as durable under stress. Wear with pride, but with care! Handmade by a local artist in Illinois.
